Catalyst Youth Club

Started in September 2015.  We play different games to have fun together with the young people. It is 40 minutes in total. We provide a mixture of games, some which relate to acting and improvisation and then other shorter games as a warm up or just to have fun. We run a group on a Tuesday lunch time for the Year's 7's to 8's and one on a Friday lunch time for the Year's 3's to 6's which they named 'Fun Club'.

Why? Running CYC is a great opportunity to get to know the young people better and build relationships with them, especially at the beginning of their academic life. We could see a positive change in some of the students from when they first started as they have come out of their shell and grown in confidence. This is something we have seen grow and develop in the young people. It is a great way to get the young people to get to know each other and build friendships.
